Congresswoman Ross Statement on Reelection

Raleigh, N.C. – Congresswoman Deborah Ross released the following statement on her reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives serving North Carolina’s Second Congressional District:

“I am honored that the voters of Wake County have once again put their faith in me to represent them in Washington. It is a profound privilege to continue serving you, and I pledge to keep fighting on behalf of the people of Wake County in Congress.

“We are still awaiting the results of critical races in North Carolina and across the country. But regardless of the outcome, I will continue putting people and country over party and politics. As I have done since first being elected four years ago, I will fight for progress and opportunity and work with Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to deliver real results for Wake County.

"In the coming hours and days, we will learn the final results of contests that will shape the future direction of our state and our nation. No matter who wins or loses, I know that we can never give up on the vision of America that we fought for in this election — a country where every vote counts and every voice matters — where every American has the opportunity to not just get by, but get ahead.

“Thank you to the people of Wake County for reelecting me. Thank you to the voters and volunteers who made this campaign a resounding success and worked tirelessly to turn out the vote for Democratic candidates up and down the ticket. And a tremendous thank you to everyone who is working to preserve the freedoms of all Americans, uphold our precious democracy, and move our country forward.”
